Moreover, I will share some easy and important tips and tricks while preparing besan chilla at home. Firstly, in this post, I have kept it simple with salt and red chilli powder, but you can always experiment by adding ajwain, turmeric, or even chopped green chilies for extra flavor. Secondly, don’t forget to finely chop the onions and evenly spread the grated paneer to ensure every bite is flavorful. Thirdly, a light sprinkle of sambhar masala gives it a surprising twist — but feel free to try chaat masala or pav bhaji masala as alternatives. Lastly, serve it hot with spicy green chutney, tomato ketchup, or curd for the perfect combination. Avoid storing it, as it tastes best when served fresh off the tawa.
