Just simply prepare the masala, toss everything with the cooked rice, and it is ready to enjoy.

Firstly, make sure to wash the rice thoroughly 2-3 times before boiling to remove excess starch, as it helps in achieving non-sticky grains. Secondly, always cool the boiled rice slightly before mixing it with the masala, as this prevents it from breaking while stirring. Thirdly, don’t skip the fresh coriander garnish as it adds a pop of color and freshness to the final dish. Lastly, this fried rice can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a day. How To Make Fried Rice With Step By Step Photo

  1. Firstly, take some water in a bowl and add 1 cup of basmati rice. Wash them properly 2-3 times.

2. Heat 3 cups of water in a pan and add washed rice. Keeping the flame on high, cover, and let it boil for 2-3 minutes.

3. After 2-3 minutes, once it starts boiling, turn the flame to low. Cover again and let it cook for 10 minutes.

4. After 10 minutes, the rice is perfectly boiled. Turn off the flame.

5. Remove the extra water from the rice and keep it aside.

6. Heat 1½ tbsp oil in a pan and add 1 tsp jeera, 1 tsp chopped garlic.

7. Keeping the flame on medium, add 1 tsp chopped ginger, 1 medium-sized chopped onion.

8. Keep stirring continuously and cook for 1 minute. Further, add 1 tsp chopped green chilli.

9. Cook for 2-3 minutes and add 2 medium-sized tomato purees. Keep stirring for 1 minute.

10. Add 1 tsp salt, ½ tsp turmeric, 1 tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder, and mix everything well.

11. After 2-3 minutes, the oil releases and the masala is perfectly cooked.

12. Now, add boiled rice and give it a good mix. Turn off the flame.
