Momos Recipe, Dumplings

Pan Fried Momos are an all-time favorite snack option that perfectly balances health and taste. These crispy yet juicy momos are first steamed and then pan-fried to give a golden crunch on the outside while keeping the stuffing flavorful inside. They can be enjoyed as they are, but taste exceptionally delicious when paired with spicy red chutney.

Pan Fried Momos | How To Make Momos At Home | Dumplings Recipe – Easy Vegetarian Recipe with step-by-step photo and video instructions. These Indo-Chinese style momos are very popular across India for their crispy outer layer and spicy stuffing. Unlike regular steamed momos, this pan-fried version gives a unique twist with a crunchy bite while keeping the filling juicy inside. It is another creative way of enjoying momos at home that is not only easy to prepare but also super tempting.

I always like to give my own twist to every dish while experimenting with different Indo-Chinese snacks, so tried this pan-fried momos version. Presentation matters a lot, so make sure to serve them hot and garnish with a drizzle of spicy chutney or sesame seeds to make them look more appetizing. I will continue to try different momo variations in the future, but these crispy pan-fried momos have recently become my go-to. I think many people are used to eating only steamed momos, so this recipe can be a refreshing change with its crunch and flavor. One of the best parts about this recipe is that it doesn’t need any fancy ingredients, and with just a few steps, you can prepare it at home easily. Just steam the momos first and then pan-fry them until crisp for that perfect street-style taste.

Moreover, I will share some easy and important tips and tricks while preparing pan fried momos at home. Firstly, in this post, I have shaped them into the classic leaf-style momos, but you can shape them into half-moon or round dumplings as per your preference. Secondly, always grease the steaming plate before placing the momos to avoid sticking. Thirdly, for that perfect crispy layer, pan fry the steamed momos on low-medium flame with just a little oil until golden brown. Lastly, these momos taste best when served hot with spicy red chutney, garlic sauce, or even mayonnaise. If you wish to store them, keep the steamed momos in the fridge for a few hours and pan fry them just before serving to refresh their crispiness.
