One of the best things about this recipe is that it can be made in no time and also does not require any fancy ingredients. Just simply steam the momos and serve them hot with spicy chutney.

Moreover, I will share some easy and important tips and tricks while preparing veg momos at home. Firstly, in this post, I have shared the normal momo shape but you can shape them into half-moon dumplings too. For an easy and quick option, try simple pleats or plain folds. Secondly, don’t forget to serve them hot with spicy momo chutney or schezwan sauce to enhance the flavor. Thirdly, always steam the momos on a medium flame to get soft and shiny dumpling skins. Lastly, these momos can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 day. Just re-steam them for 2-3 minutes before serving.

How To Make Veg Momos With Step By Step Photo
- Firstly, add 1 cup maida, ½ tsp salt, and 1 tbsp oil to a bowl and mix well.

2. Now add 4-5 tbsp water and knead well to form a soft dough.

3. Cover and let it rest for 10 minutes.

4. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan & add 1 tsp chopped garlic and 1 tsp grated ginger. Keeping the flame at medium, cook for 1 minute.

5. Add ½ chopped capsicum and mix.

6. Also, add 1 cup chopped carrot, 1 cup chopped cauliflower, and mix everything well. Keep stirring continuously and cook for 2-3 minutes.

7. Further, add ½ tsp salt, ½ tsp black pepper, and give it a good mix. Cook for 2-3 minutes on a low flame.

8. Turn off the flame and keep aside.

9. After 10 minutes, knead the dough again without adding any extra water.

10. Now, take a small portion of the dough and prepare small-sized balls.

11. Take 1 ball, make it flat using a rolling pin, and add prepared filling.

12. Give it the shape of a momo, and similarly prepare the others for steaming.

13. Heat water in a pan and place the steaming plate over it.

14. Place the first half of the momos to steam. Grease the base to prevent them from sticking.

15. Steam for 5-7 minutes until the momos are well-cooked. Similarly, steam the second half and transfer them to a plate.

16. Further sprinkle peri peri masala and chopped coriander over it.

17. Finally, enjoy veg momos with schezwan sauce.
