Firstly, heat ½ cup desi ghee in a pan. Add 1 cup besan and mix well.
Keeping the flame at high stir continuously to avoid burning.
Since the color is slightly changed, turn the flame to low-medium.
Roast it well, as a nice aroma comes out.
Oil releases, and the besan is perfectly roasted. Turn the flame to low.
Add ½ cup sugar and mix well until it is completely dissolved.
Add 1 cup of milk and mix thoroughly. Mash them properly to make it lump-free.
Add ½ tsp cardamom powder and give it a good mix.
Turn off the flame. Transfer it to a plate and let it cool completely.
Take the modak mould and add pistachios on both sides.
Take a small portion of the mixture and press it gently to shape it. Similarly, prepare the other ones.
Finally, enjoy delicious besan modaks.
